The William Macklin you're asking about is the son of James and Eliza
(Fay) Macklin. He was baptized in Enford 6
Oct 1861 but must have been about 5 at the time. He's 5 on the 1861
census. He's also 25 on his marriage record. His parents are James
Macklin, base born son of Jane Macklin, who later married John Cannings,
she was the daughter of William Macklin and Mary Sellwood.James was
baptized in Enford 24 Jan 1819 and I don't have a burial record for him
because the Enford record ends in 1880 and he was on the 1881 census. He
married Eliza Fay 6 Jan 1844 in Enford. She is the daughter of William
Fay and Jane Ayers, baptized 4 Oct 1812 and buried 16 jul 1858 in Enford
(that may be why William wasn't baptized until he was 5, they seemed to
baptize their children in groups).
They had 5 children all bap Enford:
George born 2 Mar 1844, bap 31 May 1846 married Mary Penolls
Amelia born 31 Mar 1846, bap 31 May 1846
Jane born 15 Jan 1849, bap 6 Mar 1853, bur 23 Dec 1871 (21years
old)
Ann born 10 Nov 1852, bap 6 mar 1853, married John Hale
William
James married a second time to Hannah Turner, a widow aged 53, maiden
name Marshall, father's name James, on 27 Jan 1877 in Enford.
